Your Invisalign® Gold Coast Provider

Our Invisalign® Gold Coast certified dentist, Dr Anna Williams, offers in-house orthodontic therapy without bothersome metal appliances. Thanks to custom-fitted clear aligners, you can straighten your teeth free of brackets or wires.

Invisalign® works by using strategically mapped out aligners that gently nudge and guide your teeth into proper alignment. Just wear your trays for a minimum of 22 hours per day (only taking them out for meals, brushing and flossing) and change them out as prescribed. Every two weeks, your teeth will systematically move toward the end goal in mind.

Traditional and Cosmetic Invisalign® Options

At Mermaid Smiles, our skilled cosmetic dentists are dedicated to enhancing your smile with transformative cosmetic dentistry services. From teeth whitening and veneers to complete smile makeovers, we address concerns like chipped, misaligned, discoloured, or missing teeth using advanced techniques and high-quality materials. Our focus is on delivering natural-looking, radiant results that boost your confidence through personalised care in a welcoming, comfortable environment.

With conventional Invisalign® therapy, most of our patients complete their treatment in about 12 months. We’ll be able to provide you with a more accurate estimate at the time of your consultation. There’s also an alternative to full-arch treatment if your teeth are relatively healthy. Short-term Invisalign® allows us to focus on aligning the teeth towards the front of your mouth for aesthetic purposes. In such cases, we may be able to complete the process within about six months.

What Invisalign® Can Fix

Crowded Teeth

Teeth may overlap or twist when there’s not enough space in the jaw. This can affect cleaning and increase the risk of plaque and gum issues.

Gaps Between Teeth

Spaces between teeth can impact your smile and allow food to get trapped. Invisalign gently closes these gaps to create a more balanced appearance.

Overbite

When the upper front teeth extend too far over the lower teeth, it can lead to jaw tension or uneven wear on the lower teeth over time.

Underbite

An underbite causes the lower teeth to sit in front of the upper teeth. This can affect chewing comfort and lead to bite or jaw alignment issues.

Crossbite

A crossbite means one or more upper teeth bite behind the lower teeth. This may cause uneven wear, gum irritation, or discomfort when biting.

Mild to Moderate Crookedness

Teeth that are slightly misaligned can still affect your smile and oral hygiene. Invisalign gently guides them into a straighter, cleaner position.

What to Expect During Your Invisalign® Treatment

1. Consultation and Assessment
We begin with a consultation to assess your teeth and determine whether Invisalign is the right solution for your smile.

2. Custom Aligners Created
Digital scans are taken to simulate your new smile and design your series of clear, personalised aligners.

3. Daily Wear at Home
Wear your aligners for at least 22 hours a day, removing them only to eat, brush & floss. Every two weeks, your teeth gradually move into alignment.
